BIO
Dr. Xuan Zhou is an associate professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA. He has more than 15 years professional academic and industry working experience. Before joining University of Michigan, Dr. Zhou was an associate professor at Kettering University, Michigan and the director of Advanced Energy Storage and Application Laboratory. As a team leader, he has obtained more than $1.5M funding support for research and has published more than 40 papers, authored one book chapter, and held one patent. He is also an active member of professional societies such as IEEE, ECS, SAE. His research interests include battery design and manufacturing, battery modelling, sensing and control for electric vehicles etc. Dr. Zhou was a recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award of Kettering University in 2020, Outstanding New Research Award of Kettering University in 2016 and the 2014 Kettering Faculty Research Fellowship for the work on the development of batteries for energy storage.
