BIO
Dr. VanEpps is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He is also faculty in the Biointerfaces Institute and the Associate Director for the Weil Institute for Critical Care Research and Innovation. He received bachelor’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Molecular Biology and Chemical Engineering in 2001. He then entered the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Pittsburgh and obtained his MD as well as his PhD in Bioengineering in 2009. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan/St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 2013 and joined the faculty at the University of Michigan. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and sees patients in the Adult Emergency Department and the Emergency Critical Care Center at Michigan Medicine.
