BIO

Hung-Chung Su (hcsu@umich.edu) is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He received his Ph.D. in Operations and Management Science from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management.
His current research focuses on strategic issues in supply chain management with a particular emphasis on buyer-supplier relationships, supply network structure, and competitive dynamics within supply chains. He has also researched operational issues such as process improvement, quality management, and retail inventory shrinkage. He has published numerous articles in premier academic journals such as the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Business Logistics, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, and Journal of Management Information Systems.
